40x Optical Zoom Lens
The DCRHC52 features a high-magnification 40x optical zoom lens. Now you can shoot faraway subjects such as buildings and bridges that are difficult to capture with conventional lenses. Using Optical zoom allows you to get much closer to your shooting subject, without sacrificing overall image quality.
2.5" Touch Screen LCD
DCRHC52 features an LCD Touch Screen for easy on-screen menu navigation. Sony's Touch Screen system does away with confusing buttons and dials on your Handycam and provides an intuitive way to use your camera. Powerful features such as Spot Focus and Spot Metering allow you to adjust the focal and exposure points of your scene at the touch of a fingertip.
Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens (30mm)
Carl Zeiss lenses are widely regarded by professional photographers as some of the best in the world. The DCRHC52 is fitted with a 30mm Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, capable of capturing superior resolution, contrast, illumination and colour from the centre of the picture to the very end of the frame.
InfoLITHIUM Battery System
The powerful InfoLITHIUM battery supplied with the DCRHC52 is fitted with several advanced technologies ensuring your shooting time is maximised. Sony InfoLITHIUM batteries contain an integrated circuit that allows for real time communication between the power cell and the Handycam – meaning the remaining recording time is displayed on screen (accurate within 3 minutes!). Your remaining battery power can even be checked while the camera is off!
Wide Editing Software Compatibility
Editing footage created with the DCRHC52 couldn't be easier. Simply connect the Handycam to your PC or Mac (using an optional i.LINK cable) and your movies can be transferred to your computer in real time. DCRHC52 is compatible with Windows Movie Maker & Apple iMovie, meaning you can usually begin editing your footage straight away using the software already installed on your PC.
